Glasses and eyewear

To upload eyewear to Avaturn, you need to prepare a glb file for the asset itself and a corresponding avatar. Use avatar from this page.


  • Mesh. As always, the lower polycount the better.
  • Materials. Usually, glasses consist of two parts: frame and lens. From 3D modelling perspective that usually means that there are two materials: translucent for lens and some material for the frame.


Avaturn supports eyewear recoloring. Usually it only makes sense to recolor lenses, but it's really up to you how to use this feature. Avaturn thinks that a part of the mesh is recolorable if its material name starts with lens.
