How to use Mixamo animations with Avaturn Avatars
The short answer is -- easy! Avaturn exports 3D model in
GLB format, and Mixamo can't read
GLB. You could try to convert
FBX, but there still can be issues. Instead use the following method:
THISFBX model -- this is a Avaturn avatar that is tested to work well with Mixamo.
- Load that model into Mixamo and choose an animation
- Export the avatar with animation. Use
without skinfor blender,
with skinfor Unity.
- Apply animation on top of the avatar (see the video below to learn how to do it in Blender)
