How to use Mixamo animations with Avaturn Avatars

The short answer is -- easy! Avaturn exports 3D model in GLB format, and Mixamo can't read GLB. You could try to convert GLB into FBX, but there still can be issues. Instead use the following method:

  1. Download THIS FBX model -- this is a Avaturn avatar that is tested to work well with Mixamo.
  2. Load that model into Mixamo and choose an animation
  3. Export the avatar with animation. Use without skin for blender, with skin for Unity.
  4. Apply animation on top of the avatar (see the video below to learn how to do it in Blender)
